Well friends it has been a long time.  I married Dick Kranpitz (class of '61) and we had three beautiful children but divorced after 13 years.  It took me 45 years because I moved the kids and raised them in Montana but finally got my BA from DePaul University in Chicago in 2005 and my MAEA (Master of Adult Education) in 2008.  Heart surgery and a broken back have had me in and out of hospitals and rehab ever since and now live in a retirement community.  Would love to attend the reunion but don't know that my health will allow me to get there.  I will be thinking of you and want to keep in touch with anyone that is interested.  Loved looking at the now pictures.  God bless all of you.

I am really looking forward to the reunion and seeing friends from high school. I have never been able to attend any of the previous reunions and so this will be very special. I will add more later to my so called bio. Thank you to all that have worked on the reunion and the website is fantastic!
I am back to add more to my bio. Where do I begin! I have three wonderful children-Lisa, Kimberly, and John. And I have three fantastic grandchildren-Max, Madalyn, and Samantha. Madalyn and Max graduated from high school this June-Madalyn is going to UW-Oshkosh and Max is going into the Navy this fall. Samantha is a freshman in high school.  After graduating from high school, I went to Whitewater for three semesters and then went to work for Eastern Airlines as a stewardess in Miami, Florida. This is where I met my husband as the Coast Guard trained us in ditching procedures. After we got married, we went to Guam for two years. Both of my daughters were born in Guam. We came back to Florida for three years and then went to Washington DC for six and a half years. From there went to North Carolina and then I moved back to Wisconsin with the kids. When the kids were all grown up and left home, I went back to school in 1982. First, I started in computer programming and then switched to Criminal Justice. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Mount Scenario in 1988. I had wanted to go on to law school, but had to start paying on student loans so I took a position with Waukesha County. Even though I never made it to law school, I do not feel any amount of time and money spent on education was a waste of time.  In 1991, I moved to Pennsylvania and spent three years there and then in 1994 moved back to Wisconsin. In 1999, I had had enough of the Wisconsin winters and moved to Florida near my son. When my son was going to be working out of town for long stretches of time, my daughter who lives here in Watertown wanted me to move back to Wisconsin. So in 2008, I landed here in Watertown. I can tell you, I will never get used to winter again. I only tolerate it!. When I moved here, I got a position as a Foster Grandmother at Bethesda Lutheran Communities. I am assigned to three individuals and spend time with them either reading to them, assisiting at meals, or just spending quality time with them. It is very rewarding! I had worked with developmentally disabled individuals in Florida so it was nice to become a Foster Grandmother. So that is my life in a nut shell since graduating from high school.
Again thank you to all who have worked on the reunion and to Mike for the great website.
See you all in a month.

February 06, 1942 Retired except from a lot of volunteer activities. Married
After my undergraduate degree in business administration at UW-Whitewater, my "calling" was to the western U.S. and Mexico, first for graduate school, then "real" work. Colorado University, UC-Santa Barbara, and El Colegio de México in Mexico City were where graduate work was completed. My work for compensation was with UC-Santa Barbara, the City of Santa Barbara, and the State of Nevada. The mountains, ocean, and high frequency of blue skies were more compelling than overcast, long Wisconsin winters and muggy summers.

In 1969, a neurological condition caused permanent disability.  It impacted on my eventual 25-year employment in recreation programs, a community-based agency serving a breadth of disabled individuals, then employment and advocacy programs for people with disabilities. For seven years my office fronted the Pacific Ocean. Unbelievable! A component of the 1984 Olympics, which I attended in Los Angeles, was held outside my Santa Barbara work door.

My future wife, Kyle, and I met that year at a U.S. Masters Swimming meet in Culver City, CA, and married in 1988. In 1990 we and her horse moved to Minden, NV, south of Reno, and just below picturesque Lake Tahoe. Minden is high desert country and is located in an agricultural valley. Although living separately for years, Kyle and I remain close.

The Class of 1960 reunions and website captained by Mike Rose have provided a lot of volunteer opportunities beyond those I regularly engage.

Feel free to drop by for a visit, swim at our community's marvelous aquatic center, hike the mountain trails, and see our resident horse, cat, and Labradoodle.

I do miss the cool summers and would be in a cooler climate if my two daughters would be willing to leave the Houston, TX heat. Even though it is said you "Can't Go Back" I might try!
Both daughters live close by with my four grandchildren.  One adopted from Guatemala.  A beautiful child but a novelty as she is not the blonde blue eyed look I am used to.
I work in a national print and promotional products  industry in outside sales

We are back in the United States after a two year stint in Ajicic Mexico and find the world is changing  and people are  difficult to understand almost everywhere. We lived in Georgia prior to Mexico and also spent 7 years in Germany where we were married and lived in the local economy. This was a great experience  and two of our three children were born in Wuerzburg and the third in Nurenburg Germany. I have managed projects in Illinois, Texas, Kentucky,Georgia Nevada and least but not least Puerto Rico, St, Thomas, Nevis W.I.. I was the developer manager of a major Resort construction project in Cabo San Lucas Mexcio (two years). Yes, I am profieient in several languages and now retired from the development race want to enjoy life in our home in Georgia. I am renovating it as we speak and the resul;ts are amazing what you can do with your own skills and education of projects over many years.
We have 7 grandchildren ranging in age from 25 years old to 7 weeks, the best part is we can spoil them and not have to go through the daily work load and not even feel bad.Our travels and adventures are many and to much to tell much less write the book everyone tells me to. I lived in Waukesha until 2004. I moved to Flower Mound, Texas to be near my son and his wife. I make frequent visits to Minneapolis area to be with my daughter and family.
I worked in Waukesha at Lowell School for 33 years before retiring. I was the principal's secretary. It was so much fun when I would run into some of you, because you had a connection to Lowell School.
I have such great memories of our high school years. I wish I could be with you in September, but because of health issues I am unable to be there. The idea of this web site is awesome. Thanks, Mike and the rest of the committee for your hard work.
I lost most of my eyesight in 1999. Kathy Zimdars called me and shared many of your responses. Thank you, Kathy.
In spite of all the issues in my life, God has been faithful and I praise His name.
My thoughts are with all of you as you gather in September.
God bless you all.

Married 2

In the event that we don't get the time to commiserate at end I thought I would give you a short synopsis of what I've been up to since the last time we saw or spoke to each other.

Sold commercial interior design and furniture. (And no, our designer was not gay. Effeminate maybe, but not gay.)

Went to college (s) - kicked out of2 of them, one of them twice, and finished the third with straight A's. Hey, it was art/education - who the hell couldn't get straight A's. (Blamed the first ejection on my roommate who raised peyote cacti on our dorm windowsill. Blamed the second one on my motorcycle).Started out in Pre-Theology and ended up in Fine Arts as printmaker with a teaching degree.

Taught Art in a Catholic high school. The Sister (Big Otis) that was the head of the department had B.O. and occasionally threw chairs. I had real long hair and a beard - had to play Jesus several times during holiday season class assemblies. (Never actually required to heal anyone).

Quit teaching, opened up a sign shop. I was taught to paint signs by a one-armed guy who was ahead of his time in "being green." Did that until I fell off a building in December, eight days before Christmas. Banged up some left side stuff and got my bell rung. Being left handed was an obvious disadvantage. Taped a brush to my cast and tried to paint - no go. (Discovered I was not ambidextrous, so no pony this year).

Sold Commercial Industrial Design services for a highly innovative design firm. I had the opportunity to take the owners restored Morgan to a client party at a yacht club. It was the hit of the party and got me laid. The boss had an all points bulletin out on me by the time I came back the next day. Obviously he was concerned about the car and not me. (Did not crash it).

Sold design services for a similar, though not as well respected firm. The boss chewed me out for leaving some beard trimmings in the men's room sink. (I think it's a Jewish thing)

Serviced and managed accounts for an advertising agency. The owner was a tyrant. (He started his own personal church. He died on a fishing trip. I think he went to Hell).

Serviced and managed accounts for a marketing agency. (They went bankrupt - not my fault).

Opened my own marketing/advertising agency. Eventually took on two partners. Bad decision/professional differences/they bought me out/I married the receptionist. (They lost their shirts - I'm still married).

Drove semi trucks over the road for a used heavy equipment dealer. He was/is , dyslexic. At least that was his excuse for never having the required paperwork or permits for me. He also had a gambling monkey. (I successfully evaded the D.O.T's of several states and consequently did not spend any time in jail).

Developed a program for convenient stores to insure compliance to their marketing and cleanliness standards. Conducted over 1000 in-store inspections (Do not eat the hot dogs or use the soda dispenser. Enter the bathroom at your own risk)

Was hired as a claims examiner by a motorcycle insurance company. Specialized in handling the "doinker" claims. Purchased and rebuilt several crashed bikes (And no, your Harley isn't worth what you think it is).

Signed on with a BMW motorcycle dealership as its service manager. 1 was required, for insurance purposes, to test ride all new, used and repaired bikes, including throughout the winter months. My head mechanic was a large imposing man who neglected to take his medication with regularity. (I secretly nicknamed him "Tarzan" for his mood swings).

Was recruited by a personal injury law firm as a motorcycle case investigator. Let it be known that lawyers do not have a sense of humor. My boss, a motorcycle rider himself, didn't believe in wearing a helmet. (To the best of my knowledge he's not yet eating Jell-O and making wallets in some rehab ward).

Retired. Work a few hours a week in a tool store and train new motorcycle riders who want to get their state certification. Plan to do a little more racing. (Don't' tell my wife).

Das’ all folks.

by the way I have 6 grandchildren

This is a condensed bio of the 50 years after graduation. It has been cleaned up to protect the innocent. Right after graduation, started at UW-M. The first mistake was to pledge to Delta Kappa and made it. The second mistake was to take Drama after three plays and one year later, I transferred to Western Washington University. Took a break in 1964 with a two year term with the USN serving on Submarines, and ending up as the Captain’s Writer to COMFIRSTFLT. Married my little blond sweetheart and locker mate from art class at WWU in 1966. Returned to WWU and in 1969 graduated with a BA in Urban Planning, and a BA in Education. I spent 21 years in the classroom and 21 years on the coaching staff as the varsity wrestling coach, asst. football coach, and varsity girls softball coach. Two years at the college level as the varsity softball coach.
I realized in ’91 that a state retirement didn’t offer much, so I left education and started out as a yacht broker, and real estate developer. In 1997, my wife and I retired to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to live the good life. In 2002 things started to change in Mexico, so we left to live in Las Vegas. Still interested in show biz. I started doing little show productions and agency for entertainers on the Vegas strip. I still maintain contact with the entertainers, but have stopped producing shows. One year ago I started an international sales and marketing company in microbial textiles and surface treatments. I have started working with a plant in China that produces antibacterial, water resistant products for the medical field. Another company here Las Vegas that applies antibacterial solutions to hard surfaces. So, I have representatives around the world, traveling to see them with my wife will be retirement enough at this time.
I was at Waukesha for only my junior/senior year, and lived in Hales Corners. So, I will be trying to remember everyone from the classroom. This 50th reunion will be very interesting.
