November 19, 1942 Caterer Married 3
I am happily married with three married children and 7 wonderful grandchildren, ageing from 4  to 13 years.  They all keep us very busy. My husband - John - is now retired from the financial world. After nursing for many years I began a catering business and still work on a casual basis. We have a farm just 1 hour out of Melbourne that we use as our getaway from the busy life in town. Time is spent on the golf course, at the bridge table, painting, gardening or playing with the children.
Sorry to be missing the reunion but my thoughts and love will be there.

July 09, 1942 Retired Married 1
While at WHS I took business education classes with Miss Trakel and participated in the Cooperative Training Program. Because of this I worked after school at the law firm of Love Davis & McGraw and after graduation became a permanent employee. Fellow classmate, Ron Kurtz, and I married in 1961 and we moved to Columbus Ohio where Ron was in the Air Force. We had a son, Terry, in 1964, moved to California in 1965 and divorced in 1968.
I met my current husband, Rick Weisbart, in 1977 when we worked together for a plastic eyeglass lens manufacturer in San Marcos, CA. We were married in 1980 and the adventure really began. Rick took a job with a multi-national manufacturing conglomerate in Los Angeles and the first thing they did was send us to a small seaside village in Italy where they made musical instruments and no one spoke English. While Rick worked at getting production costs out of pianos and organs, I took Italian lessons and learned how to communicate with the locals.
We were in Italy for a year, and after we came back to the States, we moved a dozen more times - to several locations in CA, but also to several places in the Midwest: Louisville, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo (yes there really is a Kalamazoo) and the Detroit area.  While in Grand Rapids I worked for a real estate developer and became Project Manager on a $53 million office building project. In addition to coordinating leasing and financing I managed all advertising and public relations activities. During this time I also received a BBA degree from Davenport University with a major in Marketing Management and a minor in International Business.
We moved to Palm Desert in 2002 and officially retired about 5 years ago. While the desert is not for everyone (especially in the summer when it's 117 degrees) we love it! The pace is much slower, it is crisp and clear, golf is great, and during the winter there is always snow on the mountains that surround us.

November 12, 1942 retired jewelry designer ellenmcnamara.com Married 2
I have been married to the same person for 45 years.  We have two sons and three grandchildren--all living in Milwaukee.

I have a Masters Degree in Social Work. I hated my jobs so I quit and started a jewelry design business.  My work was sold throughout the U.S. in department stores, small boutiques and museum shops. I am retired but keeping busy doing flower photography and computer manipulation of my photographs.

Our primary home is in La Jolla, California but we have an apartment in Milwaukee.  My husband, Joe, still has a company there.

April 07, 1942 Retired Married 1

I am really looking forward to seeing my former classmates after 50 years since I haven’t been to any previous reunions! Since its been so long since I haven’t seen most classmates, this profile may be longer than most.

I am especially looking forward to meeting my former WHS band colleagues. I continued my interest in music while I was at Marquette University as a member of the marching band and the orchestra. After graduating from Marquette, I joined the Peace Corps in Bolivia where I met and married Rosario, 43 years ago. We have led a great life and have been blessed with a daughter, Michelle, and two grandchildren.

After teaching mathematics at a high school and technical institute in Wisconsin, I went to Washington, DC to work for the US Department of Agriculture as an economist. Having spent over 20 years in Washington, I thought it was time to expand my horizons and I took a job with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, Italy. We had the pleasure to visit several countries in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. I retired in 2004 after 12 wonderful years in Italy, which included my daughter’s wedding in St Peter’s Basilica, but that’s another story.

We moved back to our home in Fairfax County, Virginia, but decided to build a house southeast of Atlanta to be close to our daughter and grandchildren. Since retirement I have done some consulting jobs, volunteered as an AARP tax counselor for seniors and served on the board of directors of our property owners association. Rosario and I have also been active in our local garden club.

I have been impressed with WHS website and want to add my congratulations to the reunion committee for the all the work they have done. See “you all” in September.

I live in Silver Spring, a suburb of Washington D.C. . The museums are a delight, and many are free of charge. I enjoy the beauty found in nature, and love to hike and explore new places. My various forms of creativity have changed over the years and now I’m concentrating on my yard and garden which is mostly flowers and herbs.

The visual provides a good balance to my work. I went back to school in 1997 and do mostly family cases, anything having to do with kids, husbands and wives, or parents. I love it.

Remember that we had to know how to swim and dive in order to graduate? My senior year gym class was great as I taught swimming and diving and all my students passed. In mid 80's, I was on a Master's (adult) Swim Team and sometimes have thoughts (delusions?) of doing it again.

My son, Matt, is 35 and lives in Madison.

On my list for the future are painting, traveling, and making pottery. My dad lived until 90 and my mom until 98, so with a bit of that genetic luck, I should have plenty of time.

Thank you, to everyone who worked so hard to put together this reunion, along with the fabulous website.

July 26, 1940 Retired Married 6
Mike and I were married on January 7, 1961.  Next January we will celebrate our 50th anniversary.  We raised 6 children and now have 4.75 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and 1 great-grandchild.  We have daughters in Wisconsin and in Maine, so we now have a coast-to-coast family.
In 1976 we moved to Santa Rosa, CA where we still live.  Mike worked as an engineer and I worked for several years at See's Candy Store.  We are now retired and enjoy doing things with our friends, especially camping, playing cards, bowling, and going to the ocean or walking in a redwoods grove near our house.
