After graduation from WHS, I earned a B.A and M.A. from Marquette University in History. Moreimportantly, I met my wife at Marquette and we have been happily married for forty-four years. I continued my studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and earned my Ph.D. in Modern European History. I retired from my position in the History Dept. at Carroll College (now Carroll University) in 2007 after working there for thirty-eight years. However, I'm still teaching one course a semester at Carroll and enjoying it. My wife, Kathy, continues for perhaps another year as Principal of St. Joseph's Middle School here in Waukesha. We have three sons, two in the area and one in Boston, and five grandchildren. I look forward to seeing classmates on Friday, and I also want to thank all those who worked on this reunion. P.S. I'm not sending in a current picture because I look more or less like my senior picture--if you can believe that ! |

Fifty years, it is hard to believe it! It only seems like yesterday when we spent Friday nights at the "attic", agonizing who we would ask to prom (or for the females, would we be asked) and of course trying to learn something in spite of all those other distractions. My wife, Judy, and I have been married 45 years. We met during our senior year at Northwestern. It was a blind date in November 1963 and we were engaged 5 months later. We have two daughters, Mimi age 44 and Laurie age 41. We also have two grandchildren ages 11 and 8 who live in Houston with Laurie and her husband Mark. I sold my business in 2000 and have been retired since then. I am looking forward to the weekend. My thanks to all who have taken the time to arrange it. editor's note - Jim passed away October 19, 2012. Please see our In Memoriam Section. |

![]() ![]() It has been a great 50 years. Let's forget the bumps, crashes and scratches along the way. I have spent my life doing what I have always enjoyed; working as an artist and teaching in Door County, WI. Today I am retired from the teaching profession, but continue as an exhibiting artist. I am represented by the Blue Dolphin House Studio in Ephraim WI. I also have my other side. I am Chairman of the Board of Trustees of WEA Insurance. |

Doug and I were married in 1965. We have been blessed with three grown children and five grandchildren, ranging in ages 12 to 18 years old. We lived in the Waukesha area until 1996, retired early and moved to Tennessee, just south of Nashvile. We are serving with a mission called Transport For Christ that ministers to truck drivers. As Doug's position changed, we were able to move back to Wisconsin in 2005. We do a lot of traveling and have been spending the past several winters in FLorida near the Villages in an RV park. We love camping and going on trips on our Honda Goldwing motorcycle. Love the website, it's great! Looking forward to seeing many whom I haven't seen for some time at the reunion. |

After graduation, I put my business classes to good use at a manufacturing company in West Allis. After marriage, I stayed home with our children until school age, then worked at our local school district for over 23 years in various departments. I retired 6 years ago. Looking back on the past 50 years since graduation, I can say life has been good to me. My husband and I will celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary this year. We have two happy and successful children and two fantastic grandchildren, ages 6 and 8, who bring so much joy to our lives. We live in a beautiful area in the Town of Genesee, and enjoy our home, garden and big yard when not off on one of our frequent travels.

I lived in Georgia for awhile (one daughter and three grandchildren are still there) and received my degree in biology at that time. I've been back in Wisconsin for the last 20 years. I have three daughters (Jennifer, Stephanie, Kristina) and seven grandchildren--another is on the way.I've recently been in contact with Mr. Shanks; remember him, our biology teacher? He is doing well and lilves here in Cedarburg. I told him about our website, and he said he has thoroughly enjoyed looking at it. The committee did a wonderful job on the website and the reunion. It's been so much fun to see what everyone is doing! |

I won't be seeing you as Waukesha is a long way off! Life has taken me many places and given me many experiences and I'm looking forward to what's yet to come! Germany has become my home after more years spent here than in the States. Plus, I have two daughters and five grandchildren here and time spent with them is prescious. I meditated in the California desert for three months three years ago and sorted through what's American about me and what's German. It's become about fifty-fifty! Have a great reunion! |

Changed my last name in 1963 to Etter which was my mom's maiden name. Married for 46 years to Sharon, class of 62. My educational career included being a full time teacher, principal and a school superintendent for over 40 years. (30 as super) I still talk to school groups about immigration, WWII, and I also substitute. Three children and three grandchildren later, we babysit and travel. We especially enjoy cruises and have been on many. Stay happy and healthy!
